The “Puglia a tavola” prize, dedicated to the celebration of Apulian food and wine, is awarded every year by the Nikolaos Foundation. The gala organized in collaboration with the Hotel Institute Armando Perotti of Bari offers special recognition to entrepreneurs from thefoodand the tourism sector, which have distinguished themselves most in representing Apulian cuisine and tourist reception abroad. To prepare and serve dinner for the approximately 200 guests in the dining room, the best students of the hotel school, led by the chef and teacher Antonio De Rosa. A menu inspired by imperial Rome, with recipes based on the typical products of the Apulian territory, served thanks to the contribution of local companies. The evening, presented by the journalist Antonella Millarte, was an occasion for the awarding of the annualsawards”Puglia a Tavola”. This year the chefs Dora and Antonella Ricci of the restaurant “Al Fornello da Ricci” by Ceglie Messapica, CHEF Gegè Mangano of the restaurant “Li Jalantuùmene” of Monte Sant’Angelo and Chef Donato Micaletto, head of the Chefs Association of Lecce. The hostesses of Holly Promotion dressed as flight attendants took part in the prestigious Gala dinner. The girls welcomed the guests and distributed their tickets to participate in the contest organized by Bari’s Holly Tour – Tour Operator. A beautiful trip to Tallinn is up for grabs for the winner.
